Research has revealed three main factors in the churches with effective men's discipleship programs: (a) a senior pastor who personally champions the program, (b) a strong vision to make a disciple of every man in the church, and (c) a sustainable ministry planning model.
The above paragraph comes from an article in “Man in the Mirror.” Author and leader Patrick Morley wanted to find out what factors made for a healthy, sustainable men’s ministry. The three factors above are what came out of his research.
What it all means is that men need one another.
For that reason, on the first Saturday of every month from 8:15 – 9:45 a.m., we host a breakfast that is designed just for men. There is food, conversation, a different and interesting speaker each month who leads us in a discussion, as well as a time for prayer and mutual encouragement.
Men need other Christian men in their lives to help them be the men, the husbands, the fathers, the friends, and the co-workers that God has called them to be. So if you’re man 16 years or older, mark your calendars today and plan to attend.
